Aux Marches du Palais

Author

Remains of kings then courthouse, these stones which date from Saint-Louis, dominated by the spire of the Sainte-Chapelle, were over a millennium the theater of passions and human dramas. The courtyard of May, the steps of the palace overlooking the Dauphine place, are worn footsteps of those who made the History of France as those, criminals or innocents, who were confronted with the judgment of men. This book opens the doors of public or secret places where one judges or retains and their actors: magistrates, lawyers, police, police and defendants. Muriel Dovic photographed this palace for fifteen years.
